Lyrics

Bye, Mary

Mary says I'm drinking too much coffee
And my life is just a mess
She says: “Better be careful, darling,
Don't end up like a damsel in distress.
Better keep your head above the water
Your feet on the ground.”
Mary says my company is boring,
So I say, I say

Bye, Mary, bye..

Mary says: “In times like these
You better work a little harder
There's no point in trying
If you know the outcome
She says that boyfriend from the past
Was a mistake that never meant to last
And even if I might agree to some degree
I say, I say

Bye, Mary, bye...

The point of this story isn't
To convince you Mary was a piece of cake
She tasted good to those who'd benefit from her
She knew the rules of every game
But like in every story there must be an end
Our Mary ended up so very dead,
Strangled in her bed

Bye, Mary, bye...
