So what is “Dark Tales”?

Dark Tales is a song cycle based on topics of paranormal, weird and bizarre. Every song on this album has been inspired by either a personal encounter or works of art, articles and media; TV shows, literature, art and theater. Since I was a young kid, I have been fascinated by the world of paranormal, esoteric and occult. I have done my fair reading on the subject – from Theosophy to Freemasons, from UFO phenomenon to timeslips, from quantum physics all the way to outer cosmos and beyond. In 2020, when the pandemic hit, all these ideas crystallized into one concept of writing and producing an album that would reflect my lifelong interest in the subject. I was very lucky and honored to receive an Artist Grant from New York State Council of the Arts who believed in my vision and the ability to carry this project through to its completion. The result is what you see - a collective effort of many people that believed in me and stood by me since the very beginning.  Special thanks go to Simon McKay, Rene Rutten, Jenna Rutowski, Fred Betschen, Mark Harris, Jonathan Golove, Vincent Mastrantonio, Phil Davidson, Niall Gribbins, Emil Novak, Michael La Gattuta, Paige Victoria, all the video extras, and of course, my partner through it all Lance Zurek who co-directed both of my videos and came up with many creative ideas.

This project is not manufactured or made up. This is me.

On this album you will be immersed in a world of vampires, aliens, vintage animatronics and everything in between. Not for the faint of heart! :D

If you like what you hear so far (check out singles “Join Us” and “Little People” if you haven't yet), then stay tuned for when the album pre-orders become available. I can't wait to share the rest of the songs with you.

Stay weird!
